These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the NIIT Student Affairs website and any registrations, applications, bookings or event tickets made through the platform.
By using this website or submitting a registration or purchase, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
1. Platform Purpose
The NIIT Student Affairs platform provides students and other permitted users with access to information and services related to university societies, events, notices, registrations, applications and other Student Affairs activities.
Information published on the platform may be updated, corrected or removed when necessary.
2. User Information
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
You must not submit false, misleading or unauthorized information or use another person's identity or university credentials without permission.
Where an NIIT email address, student ID, CNIC or another form of verification is required, the information may be used to confirm your eligibility for the relevant service or event.
3. Event Registration and Tickets
Event registrations and tickets are subject to:
- availability
- event capacity
- eligibility requirements
- registration deadlines
- payment confirmation where applicable
- event-specific rules
Submitting a registration does not guarantee admission unless the platform confirms that the registration or ticket has been successfully issued.
A valid ticket, registration confirmation and/or identification may be required at entry.
4. NIIT Student Tickets
Where an event provides tickets specifically for NIIT students, the ticket may require a valid @niit.edu.pk email address or another form of institutional verification.
Unless otherwise stated for a specific event, an eligible NIIT email address may obtain only one NIIT student ticket for that event.
A student may still register separately for other eligible events.
Attempts to bypass event eligibility, ticket limits or verification requirements may result in cancellation of the registration or ticket.
5. Payments
Where an event requires payment, the amount and available payment instructions will be displayed during registration.
A ticket or booking may remain pending until the required payment has been received and approved.
Users are responsible for submitting correct payment information and, where required, valid payment proof.
NIIT Student Affairs is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment information supplied by the user or delays arising from third-party payment or banking services.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant event page, event registrations and payments should not automatically be assumed to be refundable.
Refund eligibility, where applicable, may depend on:
- event cancellation
- event-specific refund rules
- payment status
- administrative approval
- circumstances communicated by Student Affairs
If an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, Student Affairs will determine the applicable next steps and communicate them through appropriate channels.
Users should review event-specific information before making a payment.
7. Event Changes
Event dates, timings, venues, schedules, speakers, performers, activities or other arrangements may change where required for operational, academic, administrative, security or safety reasons.
Reasonable efforts will be made to communicate significant changes.
8. Conduct
All participants are expected to follow:
- university rules and policies
- venue rules
- event-specific instructions
- safety requirements
- directions issued by authorized university or event personnel
Harassment, violence, deliberate disruption, property damage, unauthorized access, fraudulent registrations or other inappropriate conduct may result in removal from an event or cancellation of access.
9. Security and Entry
Certain university or external venues may require:
- student identification
- CNIC or other identification
- ticket verification
- security checks
- compliance with venue entry procedures
Admission may be refused where required identification or authorization cannot be verified or where security requirements are not satisfied.
10. Ticket Misuse
Tickets, registration confirmations, QR codes, recovery links and other access credentials should be kept secure.
Users must not intentionally duplicate, alter, forge or misuse access credentials.
Student Affairs may invalidate tickets or registrations reasonably suspected of fraud, duplication or unauthorized use.
11. Society Applications and Membership
Applications for society membership or leadership positions do not guarantee selection.
Selection decisions may depend on eligibility, available positions, application review, interviews and society or Student Affairs requirements.
12. Photography and Media
University activities and events may be photographed or recorded for institutional, promotional, archival or communication purposes where permitted by applicable university policies and event arrangements.
Where specific consent is required, it should be obtained through the appropriate event or institutional process.
13. Privacy and Data
Information submitted through the platform may be processed for the purpose for which it was collected, including:
- event registration
- identity or eligibility verification
- ticket issuance
- payment verification
- society applications
- notices
- administrative communication
- security and fraud prevention
Access to administrative information is restricted according to the platform's authorization controls.
Users should not submit unnecessary sensitive information unless the relevant form specifically requires it.
